Edgar Morin

Edgar Morin is Emeritus Director of Research at France’s Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique. He is the author of countless books, amongst which are, The Cinema, or The Imaginary Man: An Essay in Sociological Anthropology and The Stars. In 1960, together with Jean Rouch, he made the seminal documentary, Chronique d'un été (Chronicle of a Summer).
