Jasmin Krakenberg

Jasmin Krakenberg is a Visiting Lecturer of Germanics at the University of Washington, where she recently received her Ph.D. in Germanics with a graduate minor in Film and Media Studies. Her dissertation, entitled "Art, Cinema, and the Berlin School," is an interdisciplinary study that offers a conceptual framework for thinking the history and aesthetic of the Berlin School – a key development in German cinema since 1995 – through that of traditional art genres.
